Work out review: PiYo


I took PiYo today for the first time at 24 hour fitness from one of my favorite Instructors Jenn Starling. It has been a class that I have wanted to take this class for a while I had just made to many excuses for myself  but today I took it for the first time and it was fantastic and wonderful.

This isn't your typical Pilates or Yoga class that is calm with smooth motions where you slowly go from one position to another. This is a Strength/Mind/Body/Class for the Turbo minded like myself. It went by in a flash and i never got bored because the class was broken up into sections and like TKB each section was as long as the song. I can't wait to try it next week but its going to be the last PiYo class that is going to by in my area for a while due to the instructor is moving out of town.

I got a fantastic calorie but and built up a great sweat, i mean i actually built up a good SWEAT in a MIND/BODY class. I only have a chance to do it three more times until my instructor moves away so i gotta take advantage while i can!

I loved PiYo when I took it at Camp Do More 2011! It's such an amazing workout. Too bad no one teaches it in my area. Guess I'll have to get certified and teach it myself :-)
