About Me

Who am I and Why am I Blogging?

I'm a girl on a mission of many things
1. Lose over 80 lbs
2. Make fitness a lifestyle not a chore!
3. Become a personal trainer/bootcamp instructor/TurboKick Instructor
4. Too inspire others like others have inspired me

Growing up I was a  extremely active girl.  I played sport all of my childhood and into high school. You can basically name any sport and I probably played it. Because I grew up with my dad and he had no boys I became the tom boy who played sports and came home covered with mud. He was as well very involved making sure I knew how to throw and catch a football and was always my soccer coach.
In High school I was never over weight but I was never super skinny. I had the athletic build of a girl who played sports. I ate what I wanted when I just happened to spend most of my time playing sport or at the gym. I was never overly happy about my body size but I wore a size 6 and felt comfortable most of the time.

I was Healthy!!

I mean I was the girl on the golf team who wore a skirt in the team picture instead of oversize Khakis

It wasn't until I went off to college that I began to put on the weight.
I began college a size 6 and returned home after my freshman year a size 10/12.

                 Beginning of Frosh Year
          End of my freshman year

From my freshman year forward the weight just kept coming on until I reached 212.5 lbs my senior year of college.

This weight came on because of many things:
-I had control over the food that i bought
-I drank beer and hard alcohol with sugary nasty stuff in it
-I stopped working out and being active like i had been
-I continued to eat what I wanted when I wanted it no matter what the time of day or what the food was.
All of those things turned into me gaining close to 80 lbs in only 4 years

Summer Right before my Senior year at 212 lbs.

This weight gain was mostly due to lack of eating properly and thinking that eating like Sh** and drinking all the time but still going to the gym once in a while thinking I still would lose weight.

I tried many things throughout college to try to take the weight off.
Low Carb
Counting Calories
YOU NAME IT I TRIED IT

It wasn't until my Senior year when I found Youtube and Blogger when things began to turn around a bit but this journey was an up and down roller coaster for me of losing weight and gaining weight. If anything from my first attempt I proved to myself that I can lose the weight.
The first time on YouTube/blogger I lost 15 lbs doing the McCombs plan, but then I fell of the wagon and stopped and gained all of that weight back again.

When weight loss became a priority again in my life I came back to youtube Dec 07
I love over 30 lbs this time. Only to find that once I graduated from college and moved to Portland I was a lost little puppy not knowing up from down and I ended up gaining all of it back and plus a little more.

Which brings me to January 2010, when I decided enough was enough and wanted change things! I went back on the McCombs to Detox my body. This is going to be a roller coaster ride but that is life. It is going to have its ups and downs but I know that as long as I keep my eye on the prize I can accomplish anything!

...Love Always...

Adipex is a prescription appetite suppressant taken in pill form to treat obesity. Prolonged use of the drug can lead to dependency and withdrawal symptoms, which is why it is important to follow a doctor's instructions to stop taking Adipex.
